WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Consultation Session
When you are contemplating cosmetic procedure, you may start your quest for information on the internet. You can do a LOT of online research however online resources miss out one crucial factor: information about your unique case. That is why once you’ve started to think seriously about undergoing a cosmetic surgery your first real step should be to attend a consultation with a cosmetic surgeon.
At Grand Genesis Cosmetic Clinic the consultation session is to give you all the information you need to make a decision on whether plastic surgery is right for you and if so which method of procedure best suits your unique case.
It is also an opportunity for you to see and discuss what a plastic surgery can and cannot do for you. Only when you enter the operating room with realistic expectations can a plastic surgery result in a better body sensation.
Since every procedure entails risks in principle, your surgeon must make sure you are thoroughly informed about the chances of success and possible complications of your surgery. The initial consultation session gives you the chance to learn about the risks involved in your particular case.
And finally the consultation session allows you to find out more about your surgeon and establish a rapport with them. You want to feel comfortable with the surgeon to freely talk about your motivations, expectations and concerns.
You can expect a consultation session to last between half an hour to one hour.
During the session:
The surgeon will find out about your goals and will perform an examination to determine what procedures would work best for your body.
- He or she will evaluate your general health status and risk factors.
- You will go through before and after photos to see a sample of the surgeons work.
- Photographs may be taken to demonstrate what you may expect from the surgery.
- Details about the procedure, scars, recovery and potential complications may be discussed.
- Cost of the surgery and your financing options can be reviewed in the consultation session.
Next Step
If you decide to go ahead with a procedure, further physical examinations may be required before your surgery to make sure the procedure is of no risk to your health.
Then your surgeon will give you specific instructions to prepare for your procedure that may range from lifestyle changes to arrangements for professional nursing care after the procedure, depending on the type of your surgery.
Your surgery may be postponed for reasons including time allowed for stabilization of your weight or for cessation of smoking before the surgery.
Day Of The Surgery
On the day of your surgery you will be received by our courteous and friendly front desk staff who will assist you with the related administrative work. Your pre-operation process will be done in our private recovery room where you will meet your anesthesiologist and the nurses who will take care of you before, during and after your surgery.
After a final examination by your surgeon our MD Anesthesiologist will administer your anesthesia, which may be general or regional anesthesia or IV Sedation, depending on the procedure you are having. You will be then directed to the operating room for your procedure.
After your surgery you have the option to spend your recovery in the general recovery area or in our deluxe private recovery room. Either way you will recover from your anesthesia under close monitoring of our Anesthesiologist and skilled nurses.
If your surgery requires overnight stay at our facility we recommend spending it in our private recovery room where you and your companion have access to amenities that make your stay more pleasant. As the Overnight patient you will be continuously monitored by our nurses and have 24 hour access to your treating surgeon.
Once you have recovered from the anesthesia and your conditions have stabilized you will be discharged at the discretion of your surgeon.
After Surgery
After your procedure, you and your caregiver will receive detailed instructions about your post-treatment care and follow up appointments will be set for you. If you carefully follow the Post-treatment instructions you will greatly reduce the chances of any potential complications after your procedure. Still It is very important that you visit your surgeon for follow-up evaluation at prescribed times and whenever you notice anything abnormal in your healing process.
Do not hesitate to contact your surgeon when you have any questions or concerns. Keep an ongoing relationship with your surgeon to maintain the results of your procedure over time.
